Unique and most unusual vintage summery necklace by Miriam Haskell features a natural shell mother of pearl centerpiece pendant cut and polished in such a manner as to bring out the beauty of the shell- with the inside section of the shell having a concave bezel that really accentuates and showcases the whiter inner section that also has some concave aspects along with a rising mound of polished flat surface shell showing lovely light topaz markings.
Attached to the dangling shell is a filigree gold tone bell shaped cap. Necklace is a composite of faux plastic coral, large round white beads (about 7mm ) separated by small plastic white beads acting as spacers. Clasp has wire worked small beads encompassing a plastic round bead atop a filigree gold tone, giving it a flower shape. Box clasp works perfectly. It is hidden when the necklace is closed. Marked Miriam Haskell with cartouche signatures are on the back of the shell pendant and back of the clasp.
Measures 17-1/2” in length. Shell section is 1-1/2” diameter. Center dangles 2-3/8”. Condition is excellent.
