Boucher Red Baguette Clear Rhinestone Gold Plated Clip On Earrings Stunning vintage earrings by Marcel Boucher are plated with 18 karat gold. Earrings feature an etched or ridged pattern framing a center composed of three bright red rectangular baguettes and one red tapered baguette. These lie on top of a circle of pave set clear graduated sized rhinestones. The clear stones are framed within a silver toned border. Border is probably 18K white gold plate, but has not been tested. You can see this exquisitely done workmanship and assemblage from the back of each earring. Quality at its very best!
Condition is excellent. All stones sparkle and have plenty of fire. Earrings measure 7/8” in diameter.
Marcel Boucher was born in Paris. He designed jewelry for Cartier, who brought him to the U.S. He worked at Mazer Bros. during the 1930’s and then founded his own company in 1937. These earrings date prior to 1955.
