There are three layers to this brooch – bottom layer has giant red chatons. Layered above this is a garland or floral spray of gold tone metal leaves with smaller AB red chatons as flowers. Top layer consists of four large wide Navette stones set at outward reaching angels. All the red colors are not the same, contrasting slightly to each other.
Matching earrings feature the same leaf type setting and stones. Unsigned, but definitely made by Judy Lee. Its riveted back and metal cup construction, floral pressed metal, setting, and splendorific rhinestones and design are characteristic of Judy Lee jewelry. The AB coating is plentiful and has a bit of a mirror reflection having flashes of red and blues. All stones are prong set.
Brooch measures 2” x 1-5/8”. Earrings are 1-3/8” x 1”. Condition is excellent – appears never to have been worn.
Judy Lee Jewelry was sold through home parties between 1959 to 1980. It was originally produced by the Blanch-ette Company in Chicago, IL.
