This bracelet is exquisite. It is thick, big and bold and yet very feminine. One look at the wrist photos and you will fall in love.
Thick flexible chain bracelet is adorned with a very large reticulated Multi-tiered plaque. The plaque itself measures 2” x 1-7/8”. It has a very large, what I believe to be Czechoslovakian marbled glass oval cabochon in its center. This oval is highly domed and has a rise of a good half inch. Cab is prong set into an oval millwork frame with tiny tiny tiny detailing. This is framed by a larger heavier millwork frame. The next plateau features a lovely openwork design with tiny repousse flowers and swirls. Rising above this design are several flowers done in blue enamel. This plate is affixed to yet another plate with very interestingly squared off shaped corners and fleur de lis designs in the centers on all four sides.
The thick link chain is one inch wide and has wonderful chasing at the clasp ends. You can see quite a bit of gold wash highlights here. Most of the gold wash is gone – the center medallion still has a soft golden glow, but the chain of the bracelet has none left.
This piece sure makes a statement. Although big and chunky, it is very comfortable to wear. It measures 7-1/4” not including the clasp’s tongue.
