1964 New York World’s Fair Police Badge in Original Leather Case
Genuine extremely rare Police Patrolman’s badge from the 1964 World’s Fair. The condition of the badge is extraordinary. Leather case is worn, as can be expected.
Badge measures 3-1/4” x 2-1/2”. An eagle with wings fully spread sits at the top. ‘POLICE’ is done in dark blue enamel within each letter. ‘PATROLMAN’ and the badge number 1302 are also finished with dark blue enamel. Badge features the raised silver emblem of the World’s Fair upon an orange and blue enamel background. Stately columns flank the sides.
Back is engraved ©1961 NEW YORK WORLD’S FAIR 1964-1965 CORP upon a raised rectangular cartouche. Leather case has a flap onto which the badge is pinned. The plastic protective cover insert was replaced. Case has snap closure which works as well as it did over fifty years ago.
