Tazzas are outstanding examples of early 20th Century design and craftsmanship by Tiffany & Company.
Edged with diagonal foliate or leaf elements alternating with gently sloped bar designs all done in Repousse, they feature an abundance of gadrooning including a lovely petit beading design at the upper edge. Complimenting these themes are several incised bands and one smooth flat wider band going around the edge as well.
On the inside of the rim are found two incised bands trimming the edge. Where the rim meets the bowl is a lovely inverted beaded pattern.
Each tazza has a circular pedestal which is adorned with gadrooned beading around the stem near the stepped bottom.
Pieces each measure 2.25" in height, having a top diameter of 5.75" and a base diameter of 2.625". Rim height on this footed tazza is .375"or 3/8". Each weighs 186.6 grams for a total combined weight of 373.2 grams or 13.16 ounces of gorgeous sterling silver by Tiffany.
Tazzas are lustrous and have wonderful reflective qualities.
