Spectacular necklace has so much to offer - from the large center diamond shaped topaz stone – fantastic filigree and enamel setting for the stone and simply wonderfully shaped stones in various graduated sizes.
Dates from Edwardian to Art Deco Era.
The center large dangling faceted open back glass stone is held in place not only by four solid tulip shaped prongs, but also by four most unusual sets of filigreed floral designs rising from the base and climbing up the sides of the lovely bezel set glass stone. This is the most secure elaborate setting that I have ever seen.
The base of the pendant is absolutely incredible. Beautiful skillfully enameled flowers with green foliage climb upwards from the base of the stone. All the enamel is intact and set into nice deep wells. This is truly a magnificent piece of artistry and workmanship.
Pendant hangs suspended from a filigree station that has a nice sized baguette topaz stone in the center. This of course is attached on either side by a chain of graduated topaz stones.
Measures 15-1/4" end to end, having a drop of 2-3/4". Large pendant measures just over 2" x 1-1/2".
Condition is very good, having only slight signs of wear from age. The colors of the glass is just gorgeous. The clasp and jump ring have been replaced somewhere along the line.
