Brooch and Earrings feature round white milk glass cabochons. The multi-tiered brooch has a large milk glass cab in the center held in place with ornate decorative prongs. Surrounding this center setting are seven crystal clear chaton rhinestones. The bottom level has seven smaller cabs, each set with multi prongs. All prongs are extremely ornate and decorative. Cabochons have been set into a highly raised setting. Pin assembly works great. The stones are lovely, but the setting is what really makes these knock out stand out pieces!.
Complementing the brooch is a set of fabulous large chunky earrings, having a very large Milk Glass cabochon stone in the center held in place with the same elaborate prongs that match the brooch. Each earring bottom has 3 large crystal chaton stones with a smaller rhinestone on each end. Another large rhinestone beneath the top row adds the finishing touch.
Earring backs are marked Kramer of New York. They are marked twice - once on her support column and again on the earring back as well. Earrings are also marked with a Patent number that dates from 1952. Brooch is not signed..
Silver tone is not shiny bright, but rather has an antiqued sort of a cross between pewter and gun metal color, which emphasizes the lovely settings on these pieces. The settings are just extraordinary.
This set has great design, construction, and style and is just beeeeauuuutiful. It is pretty rare, almost impossible to find these pieces in such wonderful condition. Looks absolutely magnificent in person.
