Extremely rare brooch is of a Fanciful Fish with fins and tail resembling a beta fish or some similar fancy fish. This brooch shows great movement and truly captures a beautiful fish swimming.
Fish's body is sterling silver. The tiny bubbles are 18 karat gold. Back is impressed with Suna SBI mark and 925 (sterling silver) and 18K.
Fish is silver with contrasting dark grey in the creases.
The Suna family has been creating the very finest jewelry for over seventy years. Their jewelry business was founded in Europe by second generation jewelers Kenneth and Joel Suna. Suna Brothers is still doing business today with Aron and Jonathan Suna at the helm.
The company has expanded and still creates gorgeous jewelry today.
Classic jewelry made by Suna is recognized for their very distinctive designs. Many Suna jewelry items are fashioned from platinum and gold and first quality gemstones. Last photo shows a very similar fish by Suna crafted in solid 18K gold, sapphire and diamonds. The gold fish is much newer and much more expensive. I just wanted to show that the fish I am selling is definitely an older fish and created by Suna.
This brooch is classic. It will never go out of style because it has enduring style. Its value is due not only to the materials used, but also to its beauty and the longevity of its design.
The middle section of the dog ear clasp was missing. I had my jeweler laser on another sterling silver dog ear clasp. As you can see he did an excellent repair and it is virtually unnoticeable.
If you look with a loupe or under high magnification, you can see that a repair was made between the bottom and next gold bubble. This cannot be seen with my naked eye. It too was an excellent repair.
