Most impressive and finely detailed vintage bolo tie features a very solid, heavily sculpted Indian Chief. The cuts in the metal shine like silver and give emphasis to both the head dress and arrow tips.
The slide (Indian section) is made of pewter and measures 2 1/8”inlength by 1 3/8” in height. When the bolo is placed on a flat surface, the vertical rise measures 3/4". This is one thick heavy piece of sculpted art.
The tie is made from some type of flexible black braided plastic and measures 36” from end to end. Because it is a bolo, the length can be adjusted, so that the arrow tips can hand in a variety of lengths. The metal arrows that adorn both ends of the tie just add such a special touch and appeal to the piece. Arrows are finely crafted and detailed with wonderful cuts in the metal.
Fabulous condition showing no signs of wear. This was very well taken care of.
I laid the Indian Chief section on my scale and it weighs over 11 grams. This weight does not include the arrows. This is one substantial piece.
