Oh sooo pretty Vintage Flower clip on earrings date from 1940’s to 1960.
From the center of each flower rise two elongated stems upon which a cultured pearl and a cabochon of turquoise sit. Each pearl is set with 6 prongs. Turquoise may be faux or may be real. They are too small for me to determine. In any case, they are matched and have beautiful color.
The pearl on one earring has a tiny imperfection which can only be noticed when looking very closely while tilting the earring in different directions. I only mention this for accuracy’s sake. As you can see in the photos, these are absolutely fabulous earrings in fabulous condition.
Each petal is etched and has a scalloped edge and is finished off with a raised gold border. Textured petals have a soft satin finish, while the border is highly polished. This two tone effect is just lovely.
Texturing appears on the backs as well as the fronts.
Earrings although feminine, are very sturdy and the clasps are nice and snug. They measure 7/8”.
Backs are signed STAR. Condition is impeccable.
