Expressive piece by Lladro shows a youth, believed to be a boy.
It's a very lovely piece showing the youth very casually leaning against a section of a garden wall or something similar. At his feet is his devoted little puppy.
Notice how the paw doesn't touch the base. It is suspended. A very nice touch. And the puppy just couldn't get any closer to him.
(I don't see why this couldn't be a girl, casually dressed in slacks. Could be either, I suppose. After all the child is young and the clothing could be worn by a boy or a girl. At least that's my opinion.)
And just what has caught this pup's interest? Why could it be the cute little snail? Great detailing.
This is a very sweet piece and is in mint condition. I believe it was produced in 1991 and retired in 1994.
Measures 4.25"L x 8"H x 3.25"D.
