Large 16 ¼” Length
Fine white porcelain is decorated with 8 large sprays of colorful detailed flowers and foliage. Between each large motif is a much smaller spray of flowers and leaves. Background color is a very soft pastel yellow
Flowers are shades of yellow, blue and pink. Leaves are done in shades of green.
Above each large floral design is swag of golden hued leaves.
And above the swags and encircling the entire platter is a very lovely border consisting of leaves, scrolls and simple flowers done in shades of caramel. The center is accented in yellow.
Condition is excellent. NO chips, cracks or crazing – just a few light use marks as can be expected from age. 22K gold trim is a little worn in spots, but most is still visible.
Center of the platter is white porcelain framed with a continuous design of alternating arches and circles. Only one spot in this chain has a break.
Bottom has the Morimura Mark that can be dated from 1920 to 1940 due to having the US Design Pat Applied For stated on the bottom. During this time most of the patterns were designed in New York.
Great addition for your Noritake, Nippon or Morimura collection.
Pattern and colors will also compliment many other pieces.
Platter measures 16 ¼” L x 12 ¼” W
