A pair of colonial type gentlemen in seated position adorned with black hats from the colonial period as well as green vests, maroon pants and yellow and black coat. Yikes, Twins!
It’s rare to find two identical Occupied Japan Toby mugs. They are not usually sold in sets.
Excellent vintage condition. Just about all of the original paint is still there. NO chips or cracks. At the top of one hat under magnification you can see that there is a bit of extra particulate matter created during the manufacturing process. This is a common occurrence in pottery.
These gents each measure 3” in height x 2” W x 3 1/54” D including handle.
Bottoms are marked Occupied Japan.
The little fella in the middle is a mini mini Toby gentleman dressed in colonial garb. He may or not have been made in occupied Japan. Bottom markings are indistinguishable. But he is very cute, to be sure. And stately, too.
He measures all of 2” in height and 1” across.
Rather than listing each individually, I have put these together as a set, not only because they look great together, but this way you save quite a bit on shipping as well when purchased together. Excellent condition. NO chips or cracks.
