Large buckle is a mined piece of copper in its natural state. It is similar in appearance to a section of earth after meteors have hit it, making for a rough surface with craters. It measures 4-3/8” x 2-5/8” and weighs just over one half pound on my kitchen scale.
Copper piece is secured well to the buckle’s back. This is such a nice piece of copper having chasms and raised bumps and green verdigris as well. It’s actually pretty enough to be hung and displayed on a wall and would also make a greet paperweight.
Last photo shows it with other copper buckles in my shop.
