Solid mineral copper is in a free form state. It reminds me of a lava flow. Semi smooth - my other buckles have more of a rough finish, whereas this one is a completely formed by Mother Nature piece, not having been cut. It measures 5” x 2-3/8” and weighs just under 3/4 of a pound on my kitchen scale.
Copper piece is secured well to the brass buckle section. This is such a nice piece of copper having chasms and raised bumps and green verdigris as well. It’s actually pretty enough to be hung and displayed on a wall and would also make a greet paperweight.
Last photo shows it with other buckles in my shop.
