Beautiful bisque head doll with painted brows and lashes, open brown glass eyes, open mouth with four upper teeth, and kid leather body designed to bend at the hips and knees, bisque lower arms and hands, and linen covered lower legs and feet. The doll is approximately 12 inches tall and has a blond wig, cotton buttoned shirt, red pants and jacket with black belt and detailing, and patterned socks. She is marked 154 Dep 2 at the back of the head and we understand from the previous owner that she is a Kestner.
We are not doll dealers but have picked up several vintage and antique dolls in our travels over the years that we found too appealing to leave behind. We are now downsizing and listing the dolls as found. This doll is in very good condition with no visible damage to the bisque head or hands other than a bit of soil that we have not tried to clean, one small hole in the kid leather and openings under the arms. Her shirt is discolored with age and the socks are a bit thin in places but overall she is in remarkable good condition for her age.
