This antique English sugar basket is hallmarked for Thomas Bradbury & Sons, London, 1905 on both the basket and the underside of the handle. It is a very attractive piece that has a scalloped and reeded edge on the footed bowl and a reeded swing handle. The basket measures 3.437 inches high from the base of the pedestal to the highest point of the bowl and 5.5 inches to top of swing handle. It is 5.125 inches long and 3.5 inches wide and the basket weighs 133 grams. It has never been monogrammed and is in excellent condition with only light polishing marks that are only noticeable on close inspection and do not detract. This basket is wonderful with cubed sugar or bonbons and would make an exquisite centerpiece filled with small wildflowers.
