This antique desk set is exceptionally handsome with two crystal clear ink wells set in dark colored oak that is beautifully detailed including a decorative back piece with beveled mirror. Dating from c. 1910, the stand is in excellent condition with light wear that you would expect on a functional piece of its age. There is also a flake on the top edge of one of the ink tops, a chip in the wood on the inside edge and another on the underside corner, and the felt on the underside of the inks and of the stand is largely missing or stained. These are all shown in the magnified photos for sake of accuracy, however in person, they are only noticeable on close inspection and do not detract. The ink bottles measure 1.875 inches square and about 2.75 inches high. The footed stand is 9.75 inches across, 6.125 inches deep, and approximately 6 inches high. This striking arts and crafts period set is very handsome and would make a terrific gift.
