These six vintage bottle stoppers come complete with wooden stand and would look terrific in the bar! The hand carved and hand painted stoppers are not marked but are in the style of, and were likely made by, ANRI of northern Italy who produced carved stoppers from 1912 to 1976. The six corks are mechanical and we have tried to illustrate the whimsical movements in side by side photos with the hand held lever both up and down. The set includes a man on a barrel with tipped hat that moves lower as the head bows, a person with eyeglasses sitting on a book that move upwards to the face that moves forward to read, a man with a large mug that moves upward as the mouth opens to drink, a couple whose heads move upward and toward each other to kiss, a man and phone with a handset that moves upward, and a man sitting on a barrel with hat on head that tips down and wide as the head bows. The stoppers are all about 5.5 inches high including the corks. The stand is just over 14 inches long and 2 1/8 inches high. In excellent condition and exceptionally delightful, the stoppers were on display for many years in home bar but do not appear to have ever been used.
