We are selling these four antique Louis XV sterling silver teaspoons as a set. They were all purchased from the same estate and each has the mark of PW Ellis on the back of the handle, an E inside a maple leaf with the word Sterling. The firm established in Toronto in 1879 and was taken over by Birks in 1928. Three of the spoons are engraved in script on the back with a date, being 1893, 1894, and 1895. The fourth spoon has no date. The spoons all measure approximately 5 7/8 inches long and have a combined weight of 90 grams. They have the scroll edge and fan tip of the Louis XV pattern that was made by various firms over time and are in excellent condition with minor surface marks from polishing and or light use that do not detract.
