This sweet antique Victorian crescent moon pin dates from the nineteenth century and has a c-clasp. The moon motif is accented with flowers at either end and a swallow in flight, all popular motifs during the aesthetic period of the Victorian era. The marks on the back of the pin are not legible but the pin tests as 10 karat. The yellow gold is set with tiny seed pearl accents on the bird and flowers. The brooch measures approximately seven eighths of an inch by three quarters of an inch and is in excellent condition with only minor signs of age/use that do not detract.
