This is a Victorian Needle Book, Holder, or Case with Wool Pages in an Apple Form. Judging from the skill of the embroidered blanket stitch around each of the "pages", it appears that a child made this needle book. It may have been one of her first sewing projects, as a place to store her valuable needles and pins that she was going to need for her sewing. The apple form has four wool pages. The back is a thicker maroon fabric similar to velvet with a nap. It does not appear that the needle book was used too often though. The condition is very good with no holes. It measures 4 1/4 inch long and 3 1/4 inch wide.
