This is a 19" C1940 Hand Made Raggedy Ann Doll in a Blue Pinafore and White Dress. She is softly stuffed with bits of foam that you could buy in a bag sold mostly for stuffing toss pillows. So Ann is somewhat flattened as the foam has settled but her body is springy and light. There is no I Love You heart on her chest, the body has some soiling, staining and age yellowing to it with the body construction is in excellent condition and fresh smelling. The embroidered facial features include brows, blue button eyes, individual lashes sitting on her cheeks,a funny lopsided red triangle nose, heart shaped mouth and a big red smile. The red and white striped legs go to her knees and she has black cotton feet. Her red wool yarn hair is stitched down to her head in rows with loops framing her face. The white seersucker type cotton dress has a touch of age yellowing to it (just a touch with the puffiness of the seersucker mostly flattened out) and she has an indigo blue and light blue check pinafore with self covered buttons and growth pleat horizontally across the skirt (some fading too to the fabric in places). She is interesting in the reversal of colors to a print apron and white dress.
