This is a RARE Brush McCoy Dandy Line Yellow Ware White Banded Pitcher Straight Sides 6 Inch. This pitcher may have been used for cream, milk or buttermilk. It was produced by Brush McCoy Pottery and is part of the Dandy Line series of white slip banded crocks and storage pieces which were first produced in 1915 by that company. This pitcher is RARE! But it is not perfect. Please notice some crazing, discoloraton, and loss to the white slip bands, some glaze discoloration to the yellow clay, a small glaze flick to the top rim, and two shallow base edge chips. However, there are no cracks or hairlines. The yellow clay color is the one that is mostly associated with the Dandy Line Series. There is all over crazing to the clear glaze as it should have for a 100 year old pitcher. The height is 6 inches with base diameter 4 3/8 inch and opening diameter 4 inches. This pitcher is for the collector that has been putting a collection of Dandy Line together or have started to collect the Brush McCoy Dandy Line.
