This is a Navajo Dorothy Spencer Turquoise Sterling Ring C1970s Size 11.75 Native American Indian Jewelry Signed. The ring is signed L Spencer/Sterling. Navajo Dorothy Spencer was a smith for the Atkinson Trading Company C1970s. Her early signatures used the surname letter “L” according to my research (her early stamp used the same surname but a different initial, and was first used in 1974 according to my reference Hallmarks of the Southwest by Barton Wright). The ring is large enough for a man at size 11.75 to size 12. The two turquoise stones are sawtooth bezel set with rope twisted wire and scrolls embellishing the feathers. The ring weighs 10.5 grams and the face measures 1 1/8 inch wide.
