This is a C1840s Milliners Model Papier Paper Mache Wood Doll 7 Inch Fancy Hairstyle Museum Deaccession. This doll is a museum deaccession from the Boxford, Massachusetts (Essex County) Historical Document Center Museum. She has a little museum tag to her dress #1. She has been in the museum for a long time. This small 7 inch milliners model has wood carved arms and legs with a papier mache shoulder head. Her fancy C1840 hairstyle includes the brush mark bun in back and long black side curls. There is a paint chipped section to the top of her head. She is wearing her original handsewn iridescent (woven with red and white threads) brocade gown with black velvet ribbon waist sash and eyelet lace embroidered petticoat and pantaloons.
