This is an Antique Cabinet Size German China Head Doll 11 Inch Elaborate Original Clothing Museum Deaccession. This doll is a museum deaccession from the Boxford, Massachusetts (Essex County) Historical Document Center Museum. She has a little museum tag to her skirt #175. She has been in the museum for a long time. This small 11 inch china head has white kid leather arms and cloth legs with stitched black leatherette boots. Her cloth body feels cotton stuffed? Her china shoulder head is a lowbrow with a central part. She comes in her original hand stitched clothing which is sewn to her and cannot be removed including her bonnet. Someone dressed her quite elaborately and skillfully. Her costuming is elaborate and beautiful with a hand stitched tiered silk brown and white checked dress trimmed with brown silk braid and lace, sheer lace trimmed organdy petticoat, and lace trimmed pantaloons with a growth tuck. Her bonnet is the wonderful accessory for this costuming and includes woven straw with flower trim and sheer tulle-type fall in the back.. All her clothing including the gorgeous bonnet is stitched to her and not meant to be removed. She is beautiful.
