This is a RARE 1959 Elise Pink Bride #1835 by Madame Alexander measuring 17 inched tall to the top of her veil coronet. The pink bride is rare. She is gorgeous and stunning with beautiful high color!! Her gown is tagged Elise. The back of her blond wig probably had been combed at some point, and she has a right temple shine mark and a shine mark and a tiny bit of cheek blush loss to the outside corner of her right eye. She has earring holes but no longer has her earrings. She has a gorgeous beautifully clean hard plastic and vinyl arm body. The elbows, knees and ankles are jointed. The limbs are tight but the vinyl arms are in the usual not-as-tigh-as-when-first-produced condition. They pose nicely with the gown though. Her blue eyes sparkle, red lips sizzle and her facial paint is beautiful. The sides of her wig and still held by the wire barrette and her short bangs are delightful.
Elise is wearing her original pink nylon tulle bride/bridal gown. It has a very very full skirt consisting of unbelievable untouched original knife pleats (it is truly amazing that all of the knife pleats are still crisp and perfect), pink organdy underskirt, an attached pink nylon petticoat ( a couple of tiny tan spots from age), puffy full sleeves trimmed with lace, lined pink tulle bodice trimmed with lace, a pink satin waist sash tying in a large bow in back (a small bit of light smudging to one of the ribbon ends), matching pink taffeta panties, pink floral garter, perfect seamed hose, original silver and pink high heels (elastic just a tad stretched and the heels stay on well), “diamond” ring on her left hand, original pink floral bouquet with pink satin ribbon streamers, and topping off her magnificent gown is a pink tulle chapel length veil with a coronet of flowers matching her bouquet.
There are no breaks to the tulle net on the gown or the veil, but the back center seam (past the original opening) has a 6 inch diagonal tear to the skirt. This is not seen at all when the pleating to the gown is arranged around her for display and blends in with the pleating. The skirt length goes way past the end of her legs so that the gown can be arranged around her to the fullest making a spectacular display. The veil is long and even is longer than the length of the gown. All the clothing is in spectacular clean bright (dust free) condition. She does not have a wrist tag. This doll is super spectacular and stunning!!
