This is an unsigned pair of C1950s Mid Century Modernist Clip Earrings in Sterling Silver and Coral possibly crafted by Sam Kramer. The abstract design elements suggest Sam Kramer as the metalsmith, but the earrings are unsigned. Greenwich Village New York jewelry artist Sam Kramer (1913-1964), was the leader in avant-garde Modernist jewelry in the mid-20th century. The large oblong coral cabochon stones are bezel set. There is nice patina to the sterling silver and they test positive for sterling metal content. The clips are tight but you must have something of an earlobe to wear them as the earrings are splashy and large measuring 1 3/4 inch long and 1 inch wide. They weigh 22 grams. These earrings are absolutely fabulous!
