This is an Old Cloth Doll possibly made from a Newspaper or Magazine Pattern dating to the earlier part of the 20th century. The doll has embroidered features and measures13 Inches tall. She has a machine stitched cotton stuffed cloth body with attached arms and what feels like attached legs. So she does sit as she is jointed there at the hips. The interesting cotton muslin head is attached to the torso at the neck and was fashioned with a dart at the front to form a protruding chin. The features are stitched and the unruly wig has a fabric base stitched to her while strands of chocolate brown hair are made from a crinkle type yarn that are sewn to the wig base. The body has some aging to the color of the fabric. Her costuming includes a cotton floral and plaid dress is all hand stitched and appears to be her original. Underneath she is wearing a white lacy petticoat and pantaloons that are stitched to her. The greenish-blue shoes are fabric and stitched to her feet.
