This is a C1953 Alexander-kins Strung Doll “Wendy Fixes Tea For Company” #351 Madame Alexander. She is a clean 7-1/2 inch strung hard plastic doll with the early face and body. The stringing is nice and tight and her arms hold a pose. This gorgeous cutie has some color to her cheeks, blue molded lash sleep eyes with painted underlashes, and bright red lips (there may be some paint loss to the right side of her upper lip — hard to tell). She has a blonde triple-stitched wig in the original set (some glue residue to the left side of her wig).
It appears the doll is an earlier C1953 doll wearing a C1957 outfit that most likely went with a bent-knee walker doll; however, it seems that she has been wearing this outfit for a very long time. The tagged outfit itself includes a clean white organdy dress with attached red and white dotted pinafore trimmed with rickrack and braid. Underneath she is wearing her original white organdy half slip and matching panties (the waist elastic on the half slip has relaxed a little bit but stays up very nicely). She has white socks and red side snap fuzzy-soled shoes. To finish off her outfit she is wearing a natural straw hat with red braid trim in excellent condition. No box.
