This is a 1993 Maggie Made Maggie Iacono 16 1/2 inch Jillian Felt Girl Doll in a Limited Edition of 77/200. She has her identification tag sewn to the back of her gray pleated jumper as well as her Certificate of Authenticity. Jillian has a felt body that is jointed at the shoulders, neck and hips (she is not a wood ball jointed doll so she is not jointed at the elbows and knees). Jillian is a very clean doll with the exception of some small rust marks/spots to her left front bodice, and here and there along the back of the bodice appearing to be from a metal display stand. Jillian is in excellent clean condition with a red mohair wig, hand painted features, applied ears, and serene expression. She is wearing her gray pleated cotton school jumper, white long sleeve shirt, black tie, white panties and slip, long black tights, and black tie shoes. She is missing her book of Emily Dickinson poetry, but she does have her wide brimmed straw school hat. Jillian was created by Maggie Iacono for Maggie Made dolls and was the 1992 Dolls Magazine Award of Excellence winner. She is fresh smelling and clean. And beautiful. There is no box. The work of doll artist Maggie Iacono is referenced the 16th Blue Book of Dolls and Values by Jan Foulke, and in Jan Foulke's Guide to Dolls, a Definitive Identification and Price Guide.
