This is a Vintage Artisan Ed Levin Bennington Vermont Modernist Sterling Silver Bypass Bracelet that has been Hand Hammered. It is marked Levin Ster. Benn. VT). Ed Levin, founder of Ed Levin Jewelry, was a maker and designer of modernist hand crafted sterling silver jewelry. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 87. In 1964, he moved to Bennington Vermont where he opened Ed Levin Arts Workshop retail shop. The jewelry produced during that time are generally signed Benn/Bennington. This beautiful by pass bracelet measures 8-1/2 inches around and is too big for my 6-1/2 inch wrist. Since it is a by pass bracelet, it can be adjusted. It weighs 11.6 grams.
