This is a 1958 Madame Alexander 9 inch hard plastic Cissette Doll in her original #873 Pink Silk Camellia/Asters Ball Gown. For reference, please see Cissette A Complete Guide to the Vintage Alexander Dolls by Marjorie E. Merrod MD page 58 and 59. This gown is a variation on the silk camellia gown and has printed pink asters. Cissette is a pristine gorgeous doll with a perfect blonde triple stitched wig in the original fantastic up-do style trimmed with large cabbage rose and perfect curls at the nape of her neck. She has blue molded lash sleep eyes, blush to her cheeks, red lips, pearl drop earrings, pearl necklace, arms that hold a pose, and knees that click into position nicely. Her tagged ball gown is in pristine condition perfectly lined in white taffeta. The pink velveteen stole is in pristine condition as well and lined in the same silk fabric as the dress (I noticed that the color of the pink velveteen is just a tiny bit brighter among the folds of the stole, but the stole is not faded as this is due to the natural age of the fabric). She is also wearing her perfect white taffeta and net half slip/petticoat, matching white taffeta panties, perfect seamed hose and only ONE gold elastic high heel (the elastic has stretched some). She is magnificent.
