This is a C1959-59 Madame Alexander 9 inch hard plastic Cissette Doll in #973 A-Line Black Velvet Gown and Fur Stole. For the 1957 dress reference, please see Cissette A Complete Guide to the Vintage Alexander Dolls by Marjorie E. Merrod MD page 31. Cissette is a beautiful clean pristine hard plastic doll with a perfect zig zag stitched shiny blonde wig in the original set and curl, molded lash blue sleep eyes, peach colored eyelashes, pretty blush to her cheeks, a tiny flick of coral color paint to her bottom lip, all her pink fingernail polish, single drop clear rhinestone earrings, no rhinestone bracelet, arms that hold a pose, and jointed knees that click into position nicely. Her simple A-line black velvet gown trimmed with black sequin braid is tagged Cissette and is in pristine clean condition. This may not have been the gown that she was sold in but it appears that she has had this gown and accessories on for a long time. There is no black velvet ribbon for her hair or a flower either. Underneath, she is wearing a crisp pale pink nylon and pink lace half slip/petticoat, correct white taffeta panties trimmed with lace, perfect seamed hose, and gold heels with pink elastic (tight elastic). The orlon fur stole with floral trim may be a replacement or goes to another Cissette outfit, but is a vintage piece not newly made. She is so beautiful. She is being sold with the Cissette box marked #710 and blonde. It is in clean condition with a lid corner break and neck liner.
