This is a Madame Alexander 1957 Lissy Doll #1151 in her Red Taffeta Dress and White Hat. She is pristine Mint In Box and has spent her life there, and she is clean and bright with strong cheek color. Lissy is an 11 1/2" jointed hard plastic doll with joints at her neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. There is what appears to be a mark on her forehead, but examining with a loupe reveals several tiny "droplet-type" bumps in row that appear to be a manufacturing flaw with the hard plastic and not a defect. There is a very tight 1/4" seam split at her right elbow that is seen when looking at her at the right angle. You can tell that she has never been undressed or touched. She is dressed in her perfect and very crisp red taffeta dress with Quaker type collar, sheer lace petticoat, white taffeta lace trimmed panties, perfect seamed hose, red elastic heels, and perfect floral trimmed white straw hat. She also has her wrist hang tag. No odor. Her blonde center part wig is bright and pristine along with her perfect facial paint and strong cheek color. The box is in closet shelf storage condition with three tape repaired corner breaks to the lid and the original neck liner. It is marked 1153, but appears to be the box she has spent her life in. I know dolls got switched in their boxes at the department stores that originally sold them. I have five more photos upon email request.
