This is a fantastic Miriam Haskell Art Glass Bead and Baroque Pearl Necklace Signed Miriam Haskell on the Bird/Dove Hook Clasp. I believe this Miriam Haskell piece dates to the C1950s by designer Frank Hess. It measures 32 inches long and is a heavy necklace. The wonderful deep turquoise glass beads photograph to a lighter color. But if you look at the photo of the necklace on the mannequin, the deep turquoise glass color is more accurate. The 1 1/4 inch long beads have a marbleized effect with an uneven natural-looking surface. The 3/8 inch long baroque pearls are in very good condition while all the beads and pearls are linked together to make a fascinating statement. Please note that three of the art glass beads are either missing one of the metal connecting rings on each end or the rings were pulled and then bent back into shape. However the necklace links seem to be stable the way it is now. All the metal links have oxidized showing all appropriate age. The necklace is signed Miriam Haskell to the back of the bird/dove hook. The length is long and makes quite a statement when worn. This necklace is from an estate purchase and I believe it is rather a rare find.
