This sugar and creamer are from the Brilliant Era in cut glass that is before WWI. Before WWI there was an ingredient that they put in the glass making, that made a special gleam and in the cutting. When the war started this ingredient was used in the war effort so the glass was not the same, and did not look the same. This Sugar and Creamer is beautifully cut and I can not find a chip, but I am sure there must be one, because they all have a small chip on a tooth. The Sugar bowl is 4 inch round and across the handles is 6 1/4 inches. The creamer is not quite 4 inches round and from the lip to the handle is 5 1/4 this is the best cut glass I have seen for a couple of years. Very heavy very nice.
