This beautiful sauce or gravy boat has a family crest, potentially of the 14th century Clan Bruce (Royal House) bearing word "Fuimus" (meaning "We Have Been" in Latin). The boat is hallmarked on the bottom with lion passant for sterling silver, crowned leopard's head for London UK, hard-to-decipher maker's mark and what looks to be a letter l for the year 1746. The item stands firmly on three very well-done lion feet, and it is in perfect condition. Very high quality and rare item. Height up to handle: 4 1/8 inches, length (handle to the nose): 6 3/4 inches, width: 3 3/4 inches, weight: 11.8 oz.
