The tray (or large dinner plate) is made of very heavy gauge silver. It is hallmarked with crescent moon, crown and 800 which were used in Germany to denote 80% silver purity after 1886. It also has an eagle, used by well-known German maker Bruckmann & Sohne. It is also marked Margraf & Co, which probably was the company that sold the tray. Condition is excellent although it has some wear scratches and small dent - see images. Diameter/width: ~ 14.0 inches, height: 1.0 inches, weight: 38.5 oz. Very well-made tray.
