Well-done George III inkstand. It has two inkwells and another holder in the middle. The stand has four ornate feet and reeded borders. It also has a crest showing a head of an animal. Overall condition is excellent, just tarnish spots and normal wear scratches. The screws on the bottom that hold the inkwells however do have few nuts missing (see photos). The inkstand is hallmarked on the bottom with lion passant for sterling silver guarantee, crowned leopard's head for London, UK, letter b for year 1777 and maker's mark BM over RC. Length of stand: 9 5/8 inches, width: 6 1/4 inches, height of tray: 3/4 inches. Left and right inkwell holders are square (width:2.5 inches), middle holder's height: 2.0 inches, width: 2.5 inches. Total weight: 20.7 oz.
