The salver (or tray) features flower engravings on the top, flowers and leaves on the border and realistically done feet. The salver bears a hallmark P under crown used in Porto, Portugal in 1853-1861 to denote 95.8% silver purity (see the image from the book on Portuguese silver hallmarks). The second hallmark is a maker's mark. The salver also has a zigzag line, often used back then to verify the silver purity of the item. Condition is practically perfect, just very negligible normal ware scratches. Diameter: 8.0 inches, height: 1 1/4 inches, weight: 12.5 oz.
