The spoons feature an interesting family crest. They are all hallmarked with: a castle and thistle marks used in Edinburgh, Scotland to denote sterling purity guarantee, date letter for year 1776, and maker's mark PR for the Scottish maker Patrick Robertson working in the second half of the 18th century. On some of the spoons some of the hallmarks are somewhat rubbed but it is clear enough to see that all the spoons bear the exact same hallmarks. Five spoons are in a very good condition with only tiny nicks in the bowl of few. The sides of the bowl on the sixth spoon are a bit dented, but the spoon is still in a good condition and is perfectly usable.
Length of each spoon: 8 3/4 inches, width (bowl): 1 3/4 inches, total weight of the set: 13.1 oz.
