This wonderful spoon was made all the way in 18th century. It is hallmarked with JM for the maker James Mitchellsone, three houses and letters AU which were used in early Edinburgh to guarantee sterling silver The 4th hallmark stands for date, but it is very difficult to see. We believe the spoon was made around 1730-1740. Condition is perfect, no scratches, no dents, just some tarnish spots. Length: 8 1/8 inches, width (bowl): 1 5/8 inches, weight: 2.1 oz.
