A wonderful solid box made from English sterling silver featuring the famous five winged Cherubs to the lid.
The hinged lid fits well and once opened, reveals a navy blue velvet and silk lining.
The box is fully hallmarked for London 1901 together with the maker's initials for one of the finest silversmith's of this era, William Comyns.
Excellent condition measuring 4 3/4" x 2 1/2" x 1 5/8" tall.
