A handsome and stylish Edwardian photograph frame hallmarked for Birmingham 1909, a true antique example.
The back is made from solid English Oak with a folding easel stand allowing the photograph to sit either upright or in a landscape configuration making it a versatile and very usable frame.
The sterling silver wraps around the side of the frame and is scalloped to the front with a raised border with a continuous diamond motif.
The silver also has an English Registration number (538066) which also allows us to date it again to the year 1909. The silversmith's initials are also present for the top-notch silversmith, Deakin and Francis.
Excellent condition ready for a traditional or contemporary interior. 8 7/8" x 7" x 1" thick with a glazed aperture measuring 6 7/8" x 5".
