A wonderful quality late Victorian / early Edwardian tea caddy made from silver plate and dating to c.1900.
The oval caddy has a hinged lid incorporating a central dome. The caddy has been meticulously decorated with intricate engraving including a foliate garland tied with a ribbon on both the front and back.
The underside has the maker's mark struck, I haven't identified the maker.
Once the lid is opened, the double compartment interior is revealed with a shaped divider.
Excellent condition measuring 5 3/4" x 4" x 4 1/4" tall.
