A lovely Edwardian Caviar server or dish, made from English silver plate and glass.
There are two dishes, the larger one which would be filled with crushed ice and the smaller one which fits over the ice and would contain the Caviar, keeping it chilled.
The border of the under-plate and lid are beautifully decorated and the lid is topped with a turned wooden finial.
Excellent condition dating to c.1900; the plate measures 7" in diameter and the entire piece stands 4" tall to top of the finial.
