Antique English Oak and Silver Plated Serving Tray c.1890
A wonderful and highly sought-after tray, with the winning combination of solid Oak and silver plate, unmarked but probably John Grinsell, Daniel & Arter or Mappin & Webb, all famed for this combination.
There is a pierced or reticulated gallery that frames the oval shape with elegant handles with turned Oak grips and a central shaped mount, vacant and could be engraved by your silversmith if desired.
Superb condition and a grand impressive size measuring 22" x 14" x 4" to top of handles. Victorian in era, dating to c.1890.
